Federal Charges Dropped Against Dr. Maldonado for Civil Disobedience

Dr. Maldonado was arrested protesting the separation of children from their parents by the U.S. Government. Dr. Maldonado travelled from Arizona to California to protest the government's cruel actions and as pictured below was arrested by federal agents.

Dr. Maldonado was taken into custody and given a citation. She returned to Arizona but was later summoned to appear at Federal Court in San Diego. She was given a plea offer to plead guilty and receive a fine, but instead asked for her right to a trial on the charges. The government then dropped the charges against Dr. Maldonado and the Federal Judge dismissed the case.
